I paid a bribe for mutation of property

I purchased a Lucknow Development Authority's (LDA) land in resale from its original allottee. For the mutation of this land in my favour in LDA records I was asked to pay a bribe of Rs. 5000/- (Five thousand only) by a cleark, alongwith the actual fees for mutation. This type of practice is very common in this office otherwise officials either do no do the work or it takes long time than usual to get the work done.
