I paid a bribe for my marriage registration

I went to register my marriage. The person incharge had setup a mechanism where the clerk collects the bribe and only then countersigns the application. Without this counter-sign, the sub-registrar doesn't sign the marriage certificate. I paid 500 rupees as bribe for my marriage registration
