My wife and I applied for a passport. The police officer from my area came to our residence to confirm our identity. We invited them in and showed our ID documents, served them 'chai and naashta'. After 15 minutes of small talk, they cagily mentioned how difficult it is now-a-days to get a passport with terrorist threats and all. I just said we are old retired people, what threat is there from us? They just laughed and continued with the same rubbish about people waiting for months for apssport becuase of one reason or the other. Not until I paid them with a handshake did they move. I still don't know when my passport will arrive or if it will arrive!
