I was delivered a gas cylinder only on the payment of the money that was unrecorded.
The delivery man said he can not deliver the cylinder unless he is paid an "extra" amount of Rs.50 for the delivery. I had to bargain with the bribe for 25min and then he accepts Rs.30 and delivers me the cylinder. He says it(bribe) is for the delivery expenses like transportation and also as a tip to himself. when I questioned him about the gas agency regarding the arrangement of transport and his salary, he just remains silent.

Though Rs.30 is not a huge amount, the agency approximately delivers 1500-2000 cylinders/day.
And the unrecorded money amounts to an average of 1,00,000 per day. In a month it amounts to 30lakhs, and in a year-3.60Crores.

And I guess they would have a surplus out of this amount after sharing the bribe and writing it off against their expenses.
