Income Tax Officials fostering Imposters:

Reported on September 25, 2010 from Bangalore , Karnataka  ι Report #30677

This is about two persons who approached a Widow as an Income Tax Officer and demanded 'Bribe' for not having PAN Card. Luckily the house-owner of the Widow got them caught and handed them over to the High Ground Police, and also registered a written Complaint. The Complainant was told that initial investigations revealed that some high-level Income Tax Officers of the rank of Assistant and Deputy Commissioners were enrolling Insurance Officials to solicit 'bribe'. Initially Police were keen on nailing these IT Officials, but they seem to have dropped investigations against them despite statements from the Accused and Phone records. The accused has 'bribed' the Police huge sums and paid large amounts as 'fees' to Lawyers. The real culprits (Income Tax Officials) are untouched by the Police and Law. Now the case is in the Court. The accused is languishing and the Complainant feels sympathy to the accused, while the real culprits are busy fostering evil elsewhere and the Law looking the other way.
