Good Day,
Well I was quite disappointed with the entire License issuance system that we have in India. I tried to evade the agent system that exists in India to get a driving license. I guess it was the wrong choice coz
(A) One wouldn't know who to approach to even collect the intial forms let alone applying for the license.
(B) I was waiting for a gentleman who was supposed to handover the forms, he left on a tea break & didn't return for 3 hours.
(C) Finally approached "The Agent" paid INR 2500, he filled out the forms for me, got the authorization for the learners license even without me sitting in the car for a test drive. Got the license in a month's time again without even seeing the car, went to a small shack where the Police Officer authorized and said that I passed the test.
My Point here is :
Where is the discipline in the entire process? what are we teaching our kids?? Are we teaching them that money can get you anything and get you out of anything. I saw kids who have just turned into adults getting their license even without knowing how to drive a car. No wonder kids are drinking and driving, running over pedestrians, and have no respect for the law (the law doesn't exist in this case).
I hope to see some changes, some kind of discipline in our system. I love everything about Bombay but cannot see the corruption in our basic *******
