We were charged with a large amount of non-paid income tax as someone has given the income tax dept (in Dehradun) money to get us in trouble.
The verdict was clear cut in out favor according to separate consultations with lawyers as the Dehradun income tax dept has no cause and no proof. But due to someone else paying them to hurt us, they kept ruling against us in technical loop holes.
We challenged it and had to follow a very long and costly legal ladder which ended up the case in New Delhi high court.
But our lawyer advised us that the court panel (3 judges) would keep delaying the case until they got the bribe. meanwhile our assets were frozen by the income tax dept in dehradun.
We had to borrow money from many friends and relatives to give to the our lawyer who acted as a conduit to another court low level employee who in turn gave the money to the judges.
We got the verdict as anticipated. We did not have the financial or psychological strength to fight back, which our lawyer strongly advised, for the illegal actions of the Dehradun tax office and just stayed quite and took the undeserved punishment.
