My aged mother receiving a meager pension of Rs. 973/- was told to shell out Rs. 600/- for restoration of power supply as the Wire from the EB poll was cut by a Moving vehicle. The two linemen came within 20 minutes of complaining about the cut of service cable and told the labour charges for the same is Rs.1200/- as it is Sunday and my mother told them that she has only Rs. 600/- they demanded and connected the EB Cable to the poll. I felt very bad that they donot even spare a old widow living within her means. If I would have been there I would not have paid a penny. My mother felt very bad that due to no fault of her she was robbed in broad day light.
