As always I was not able to get ticket reservation, but it was necessary for me to travel from Haridwar to Kanpur on 7th March 2012. I bought a general ticket, but the general boggie was too crowded and there was no space to even enter a general boggie. I got on in a sleeper boggie. The Ticket collector checked my ticket and asked me to wait till he comes back. He came back after we have passed manby stations and asked me to give him 400. I negotiated with him and paid him 300/-. He gave me a slip from a station where reservation charges were only 100 and rest 200 were extra. I have to do it everytime I travel as most of my plans are last minute and so I don't get any reservation.
