I had to get the septic tank cleaned as a local plumber pointed out that was the main problem in our apartment. He charges 3000 and also will clean it using stick (manual). But another option was to contact BWSSB. I went there to office and they have given me one number. That fellow told clearly that he will take 100 Rs for petrol and additional money needs to be paid to the people who clean it. I told that its their duty. He argued that they are busy and will not be able to attend my problem for next 4-5 days. But then I agreed. The truck came in next 1 Hr and cleaned it properly. They charged me 2000 Rs in all (after a lot of bargain). I could have waited for 4-5 days had it been my individual house. But its apartment and people are ready to pay additional bribe but they want the problem to be solved quickly.
