I had to put it under Registrar office but transaction was for Marriage and nothing related to sale of property. I had no other choice.
Mien was an Inter-Religion Marriage –Me Hindu and he is a Muslim. With great difficulty we had our parents agree for our marriage. We wanted a simple marriage so we decided to get Register marriage and a reception. I discovered the procedure for registration, but I couldn’t get the fees anywhere properly. It was Rs 100 somewhere in website, some places it was Rs 20 etc. So I went to the registration office near BTM, Bangalore with my family and friends. They told me to fill a form and register for a month’s notice and pay Rs 500. There was no receipt for fees but they gave acknowledgement for registration. A month later we went to the office to get married. My family was handling everything at office. They asked for Rs 2000 as they said their big boss will ask and she wouldn’t sign otherwise. I said I don’t think we need to pay. My family /friends /husband hush me up saying they will object for the marriage now and don’t spoil anything now as its going smoothly. We had to pay otherwise they would object and create problems with our marriage. I feel sad about it.
