I was student in MNNIT Allahabd in year 2003 and I applied for a passport as I was offered a job in a software firm in campus recruitment. When the verification documentation arrived the police came to my house and asked my parents for a thousand rupees to process documents. They even forgot that they have entered a house which clearly was devoid of any money, a thousand all of sudden was out of questions.
My poor parents did what they had to do, they borrowed a thousand from our neighbour and handed over to these rascals. My parents did because they wanted to see me do something with my life the name 'passport' was big for them. That day made me hate our corrupt government even more. This is just another incident, you walk into rural area and you have to pay 10 Rs to get your letter from postman. I do not know what will happen to this country.
