I flew into Kolkata's International Airport a few years ago to do some volunteer work with a group of high schoolers from an international school in South Korea. I was behind my team making sure all students got through immigration and then there was one last passport check before entering into the baggage claim area. The man at the desk took my passport and then said to me, "my son loves foreign currency and he'd love U.S. Dollars." I laughed thinking it was a joke and then reached for my passport. He jerked it away and said, "how many U.S. Dollars do you have?" I had four 100 USD bills and luckily one 10 USD bill. I was able to get the 10 USD bill out without him seeing my other cash and proceeded to give it to him. He then smiled and handed me my passport.
