Nail the ticket collectors, i bet 1 million more indians will have food the next day!
Paying bribes to Railway ticket collectors in India is one of the most common and pathetic scene. I myself still being so much against of giving and taking bribe see no go to it. I admit that i didn't had once a valid tickets though i wanted to have one, but u know the rush in India. U have to be decisive a month before atleast if u want to travel in North India. I met the TT, i never had intention to hide. He showed me the easy way by not paying the whole amount + the fine but just slip in 300 Rs , so that both of them benefit. I did, U know when the problem arosed when i asked the TT to write on my ticket something that will prevent other ticket collectors charging me again. He said from mughalsarai other TT will come and they will charge u , i cant help. I asked him to return my money and allow me to go in local compartment, he refued , used abusive language which i couldnt understand, i fired back with the same language, he went on to pushing me.. it was at that point i said that now i dont care, i am going to jail for bribing you but i wont let u go free... i have seen your name and mughalsarai is coming , i am gonna report.. i am just a mere student, ur a grown man with family and job.. ur gonna go to hell....he feared that , but i was utter serious for that also, i could have done that....the other public interuppted as i was refusing to take back the money from TT and report bribery.. the public persuaded me not to create a scene and happily go home... i agreed to that, next station went to local compartment.... i really let the TT go, my blood was boiling, i would have really crashed his balls...
u know one thing , problem is the vicious circle... i wanted to take a valid ticket but u cannot get because u live in a country of 1200 million people, then people like these who have been appointed to be responsible to take care of affairs are the one who see the weakness of common man and start exploiting the situation instead of solving it...i am not saying that all TT are culprit but believe me 99% of them are...
its not only TT, its everywhere....
We say ********** maahan and saare jahaan se accha only when we go to war with Pakistan or have a cricket match... such weak is our patriotism that awakes only on war or a match.. what about 37.8 %(approximately equal to population of European) people who are below poverty line, the people who do not know when they eat that when will be the next time that they will eat again.. i started living in germany from last couple of years.. i reailised and feel ashamed a lot of time, why my country is so.. and why i am also like people who just have a mouth and tounge to talk, why cant we do anything, anything good enough to change, to make India a better place to live in...
I heard that somebody said , india is poor but indians not, because they have 1.4 trillion dollars in Swiss bank which will be enough to wipe out the tears of each and every poor and destitute...
if i were the dictator , the king , the prime minister of India, i wouldnt have hesistated to order and get the money back to the soil... and why one should ,
i know i got drifted away from the topic and made my story a bit longer, but just wanted to reach the reader that dont feel alone, there are indians in every nook of the world who if not today will strive to get india back its golden bird which have long flown away.
