Need to pay Bribe to get a National Identity !

Reported on March 8, 2011 from Aligarh , Uttar Pradesh  ι Report #27303

Hi Indians,

Its nothing new rather we all are used to it and its the bribe we need to pay to get the police verification cleared as part of Passport Application. Policemen came to my house and started asking oh you have washing machine in your house, fridge , cooler, bike wow rich man, so you are going abroad hmmm wealthy people.... I told sir pehle ********** saans le lo ek do, I know well you'll take 500/- so please stop all these descriptions, take this 500/- and lets clear it. I know well even i'm at fault as he even didn't ask for it but normally nobody asks for it, its only you who has to understand and offer on your own else you'll understand ones your application is rejected. Then he continued with his true color, "I was going to buy a jeans for my son so i need 1500/-" ha ha ha...pretty amazingly I told maharaaj aaj tak meine 1500/- ki jeans nahi pehni so go to another 2 such homes and get the jeans. Then he says I have to buy my wife'saree with the money I'll get from the other one candidate I'll go after you..... anyawys I stuck up for the 500/- saying take it and also cancel my application as this is what i have got. He went and my application was cleared and went for another great officer from LIU who again took 500/- and now I'm sitting in UK from last 2 years. Its about the widespread system and we alll are guilty of it. Dunno from where to start as in the start we'll surely have to suffer to get the long term impact. Roots of corruption are so ********** in all of us and from top to bottom that even if somone tries to avoid it he only suffers and called as fool these days. I guess almost all of us covet the demolition of the strong built of corruption but none of us know how. Frankly speaking no clue how fruitful this new campaign is gonna be but stil writing as just saw about it on facebook and then suddenly my heart went with it. Best of luck. Cheers,
An Indian !
