I went for a new vat registration. First i Paid 500/- as Registration fees for which i got a reciept. after that for 7 days no one from their side came for verification hence i went up and called them to my business place. After that next day i went to CTD office, their i paid 6025 rs. for which i got reciept(5000 deposit,1000 professional tax), after that a caseworker who made those reciept asked me to pay him he told me that i should pay him 800/- i refused..so he kept my file in between of old files n dint even return it n threatened me that "you will be coming back for paying taxes...i vl see u then",after that i had to pay him 500 to get my file back, then comes the inspector, and she asked for 1000/-, and then ACCT he asked 1500/-,then the person who prints Certificate for her 300/-,then for peeyon 100 rs. so overall i paid 3400 rs as bribe. without which they would have not even touched my file. and i think this is the same story in all commercial taxes department.
