I paid a bribe in addition to all the official fees after fulfilling all legally required official procedures. In 2009 I complained (in person) to the Metro Corporation's Accounts department about the bribe my wife had to pay to get my house into my name again as the local inspectors played havoc with their dirty tricks and changed my last name and the door number also. As I am an NRI then(now I aquired US Citizenship) living in far away USA, I got a suspicion that they may eventually take away my house by creating such and such alibis and lame excuses. The deputy commissioner at Malkajgiri's circle office was so indifferent and unsympathetic, leave alone being unprofessional and inefficient.
