I had visited a company on Brigade road, after parking my two-wheeler in one of the by-lanes, and which was also a dead end. There were already many vehicles parked in the place. Upon returning, I was told the police tow away vehicles parked there if don't have a sticker provided by companies in/around the area.
The towed vehicles were NOT taken to the police station. Instead, they were kept near Mota Royal Arcade, which in itself didn't seem like a parking area, and maintained by a tout. Upon asking for the inspector, I was told 'the inspector is there only' after being made to wait for 20-30 min and pointed to the place only few meters away, all the while when the inspector was present there itself! After having been made to wait for more time(for the others to settle their deals), I explained to him how I had come on official visit to the company there. After showing a visiting card issued by the company, he asked me to pay "how much ever I can" and ordered the tout to collect and let go of the vehicle.
