This was reported by my friend. He is typically a law abiding citizen, which basically means that if he notes a red signal on the traffic light in his direction he stops irrespective of the time of the day. So, I believe when he said that he did not note the signal and was duly flagged down by a cop. So far so good. The cop then checked his blackberry and told my friend that he has no record and asked him whether he wants a record. My friend said no. The cop asked him Rs. 100, instead of a higher fine. The cop pocketed it and my friend went on his way.
