Hi this is my first ever report about "i paid a bribe"....i travelled through qatar airways to hyderabad on the said date in the morning,i was actually coming to my own wedding which is a week later.this is my third entry to hyderabad customs since i went abroad 5 years back for my study,the first time i bought some electronics as well as few liquor bottles(more than that are allowed duty free) as i was coming to my sis wedding.there is a chalk piece mark on my checked in baggage,as i already knew about this i went to the bathroom and cleaned it up with water and a cloth.so at the gate of exit the guy asks u to keep a bag through scanner,so i kept my hand bag which has nothing in it except dresses so i could escape paying customs(bribe in general!!!!) repeated the same on my second vacation but to my fate i was caught on 3rd instance and the officer noticed the water marks on my bag and asked to keep the entire luggage through scanner and i was carrying more liquor this time(as i was coming to my own wedding) so all the officers got into a group and started demanding money directly or else i endup in jail on smuggling case...i actually asked them legitimately i will pay the fine but they quoted wrong price and said i should pay nearly a lakh(can u believe it) so instead they will let me go if i pay 30,000 i have to plead them that i dont hav that much money and even one of my bag is missing but still they dont listen....i have to go out get money from my dad and shamefully have to admit that i ended up paying 20,000 bribe.
