I had applied for a passport. we had already paid the fee for the passport during the submission of the passport documents. when the police came to our house for the verification they demanded 300 Rs as verification charges and asked me to come to the station next day with 200 Rs as document charges. I went there they asked me to take a copy of the passport form and demanded 200 Rs for the same. It was really annoying as we know that there is nothing called verification charges as it is already been covered in the fee which you pay in passport office. But you can't argue with them with the legal terms and if do the same then you won't be getting the passport.
