My wife didn't have educational TC. Even though she had her passport, Voter ID, etc. But they asked for TC. I was left with no other option. it happened in Omalur Taluka (salem District) Tamilnadu. They asked us to pay the amount in the brokers office. Brokers are the main culprits who support register. They discuss in the evening and discuss about the amount and shares. This is not only for marriage registration. I remember I paid for the land registration too. don't remember the amount. very pathetic for public.
