Paid a bribe for not having the emission certificate

I was coming back to Delhi from Greater Noida through kalindi kunj on my bike. I was pulled over for inspection of my documents. I had all the documents ( My drivers license, Registration certificate and insurance ) but my pollution certificate had expired. the cop insisted on my pollution. When I told him that you can hold my RC till the time I go to the next petrol pump and get my emission certificate. but the cop was reluctant on saying that I will have to come back to greater noida court to collect it. I told him that the law clearly dictates that If you don't have a pollution license you can simply submit your RC or licenses and collect it back after getting the emission license. But the cop kept on saying that He will not wait for me to come back and will submit my RC in the court. So pleaded for 15 mins and after I didn't had any other way out. I paid him 100 Rs and left. I made sure this never happens again and got my pollution license immediately after this from the next petrol pump.
