Paid a bribe to get sales tax account unlocked

Our sales tax account was locked for a frivolous reason. Despite producing all the papers, they claimed that it was an automatic lock and they could not do anything about it. They indicated that any amount less than Rs.10000/- would not help since they had to distribute the money between many people in the office.
Once the Rs.10000/- was paid, the lock was released immediately.
