Hi,
Main drain in our lane was blocked, which caused blockage of sewage drain pipe in my house. So, I registered complain using BWSSB complain number ******* . Response was very good and I also got an SMS with complain id and ensured response with in 24 hours. I specifically asked the bribe amount I need to pay just to check there response. But I was told that this service is free. I got a call saying they are closing the call, since they have clean the main drain. I could not supervise the work since it was a weekday. To my surprise sewage drain pipe was still blocked in my house. So I had to give a complain again. They came in the afternoon and argued that main drain is clean and asked for 2000 Rs bribe to clean the drain pipe of my house. I was helpless and agree to pay 1100 Rs. I asked the reason why I need to pay, the response was they have bought lorry to clean. He cleaned drain pipe of my house and the result was the same, still there was blockage. Later they cleaned the main drain in our lane and then sewage water from my house started to flow out.
My only question is why I am forced to pay the bribe when BWSSB is collecting maintenance and other service charges alone with our monthly water bill. Who is using the amount we are paying?
