PAID BRIBE FOR CLEARANCE OF POLICE INQUIRY IN PASSPORT

I applied for PASSPORT for my wife, daughter & myself. When my passport agent told me that I would have to go for police inquiry on so & so **********, he also informed me that you'll have to give some money for hassle free process. After completing the formalities the PI asked for 600 rs. bribe (200 rs each for application). I couldn't resist myself to give the bribe as I don't want to involve in any issue. I got my passport after that but I feel that i did wrong thing by giving bribe.
