Paid bribe for early issuance of passport

Hi, I applied for renewal of passport on 26th August. Just before entering the passport office I was surrounded by passport agents to get m work done with in 7 days. Since, I didn't want to pay the bribe, I followed the govt. process and submitted my application. The officer at the counter told me that 15 days is the stipulated time for these type of applications.
On my second visit to the passport office after 15 days i found that my paasport is lying at the same stage and my file has not moved to next step. Also, from my analysis of staus check on passport page by giving out random file number i found out that minimum time that passport office takes is 3 months.
So, I was not left with any other option than to pay bribe to passport officer for the early issuance of the *******
