I am Naved from babrala distt. Sambhal teh. Gunnaur Pin 243751.I applied for fresh passport online , I got my documents verified at the PSK Bareilly. All was good untill I got a call from gunnor kotwali the man on the line was MANOJ SHARMA he was saying that he is a head constable and if you want police varification you have to come here at kotwali with documents like id proof , no criminal case affidavit etc. First thing came in my mind that if you are going through police varification LIO would come at your place in order to varify but here things are different I thought it may be the part of the system . I went gunnaur kotwali today on 31st of april 2016 at about 3:30 pm. I went to meet this man Manoj Sharma who was sitting in the office. After checked my documents he asked for 1000 Rs . I asked him that is this any provision to pay for police varification , he said that there is no such provision but he has to give some of the money to LIO and commissioner and rest he will take to varify me. I told him that I am looking for a job and I am an unemployed I saved some money for passport for 3 months and I want to go foriegn country to get a job. He said if you did not pay you may have to visit LIO office as well commissioner to get varification and it will take so long. I said I dont have 1000Rs he said then how much do you have? I said I have 300Rs only , after thinking for a while he said ok give me what you have he took my 300 Rs and said you may go now. I want justice in this matter . I dont want my money back but I want to teach them a lesson so nobody in the department will ask for bribe to do their duty.
