This was the first time in my life that I had to handle bureacrats, as I bought an apartment in ITI Layout, Mallatahalli and went for registering it in my name at the Sub-Registrar's office next to BDA Complex in Nagarabhavi, Bangalore. All the documents were ready and clean, before the registration had to happen the assistant of the owner of the Apartment said, 'we have to give the Sub-Registrar the "Something" for registering the apartment', when I asked how much, he said, put together it is Rs.16,500/- I had no idea about it and had to shell out that money as a surprise.
