I dont remember the exact dates.. but I got involved in a bus accident and sustained serious injuries and was left a bit handicapped as well. Since the bus belonged to the Govt Transport, I lodged a Case with the Motor Cases Tribunal.. My claim was for 15 lacs.. and the case was dragging and dragging.. In the end, my brother asked me to sign a bond for 2 Lacs without the name being filled. I asked what this was all about. He said, this is for the judge. It goes via his be-nominee and this records were being created such that, I owed that judge's be-nominee 2 Lacs.. The verdict on my case was out very soon.. Unfortunately the claim amount was never 15 lacs but just half of it. The case still is running even though its been 11 years gone.. That's my story.. the biggest bribe I have ever had to pay.. and that too, to the Indian Judicial System itself !
