Paid bribe to get passport

While I applied for passport I had proper address proof and I used to stay in a hostel. Now the passport officer wanted a address proof for the hostel too. I got a letter and he rejected that and outright asked for rs 2500 to issue the passport.
I stay some 15 hrs away from the passport office so I couldn't afford going back with out passport. Moreover I had to travel overseas immediately. So I had to pay the bribe and get the passport.
