Paid bribe to get police verfication done.

I am a IT professional travels frequently hence need to renew my expired passport. Appiled for re-newal and now it came to police verification stage. Surprisingly I got SMS from one police officer, that "call me back this is regarding passport police verfification". I called back then he invited me to police station for police verification. When I went there he openly ask for bribe says "aapke to 3 addres proof verification hain iske to 1000/- rupaye dene padenge. I did not have any option since I have to travel soon and need my re-newal passport asap. Hence Ia gave him 1000/- and police verification has been finished.
