I am working in W.Africa. To renew my work visa i needed my educational certificates attested, i visited the Indian Embassy.
The officer there instead of helping me showed his typical Govt. officer behavior, first of all he asked to go to HR ministry for the attestation (which in in India).When i pleaded many times, he asked me to come later, after several visits to his office he did the necessary attestation. Now he says i must do a donation which the embassy is raising for the needy Indians there but says he doesn't has a receipt to give me (book is given for printing), so i gave him $10...which i doubt very much will be used for ny good reason!!
