I wanted to apply for a passport. I was a student at that time. I went to the passport office to apply for passport. 3 days later the officer came to our hostel for address verification. There were others also who applied for passport. He demanded an amount of Rs500 each from everyone. We were aware of this as same had happened with our seniors also. We paid the bribe and one month later we got our passports back.
