Paid bribe to a traffic cop

Had to pay a bribe as I did not have the required papers. I was carrying my license. Cop insisted that I pay 300 rs as a fine. Then when I said I could get the papers from my hostel as it was nearby he said that I had to pay a fine as I did not carry them. He said that he could adjust and took the 50 rs I had with me.
