I had applied for PUC 1 year admission for my son in a famous college in north Karnataka. He studied 10th std in Dubai and I had the migration certificate endorsed by Indian and UAE embassy, also. The college authority told that, I had to get it verified from PUC Board in Bengaluru. I travelled 450 km to Bengaluru. and went to PU Board in Malleshwaram. To my surprise, the lady staff demanded 500/ Rs to give the certificate on hand. Otherwise she told me to come after three days or The certificate would be sent by post. Not wanting to waste another 1000 Rs. for lodging I paid bribe of 500 /( After negotiation ) and got the certificate. I had to mention here, the officer was very supportive but it was all the game of caseworker.
