PAID Rs. 60 TO NOTARY.
I'm govt. servant and wanted to apply for passport for which I required NOC from my office. To get a NOC I have submit to affidavit regarding my name, address etc. I had to paid Rs. 60 as bribe to notary to get my affidavit notorised. He took Rs. 75 from and took signature in the blank receipt ( Rs. 15 is govt. rate for notory stamp.) though I had showm him my govt. office ID Card and pan card. I was bit reluectant to give this amount but finally had to cave in to his demand because he was not ready to give the said notory stamp. That notory still sits in Mumbai Court's Hall where lawyers rest and have lunch etc. Shame on the system because he still sits in Mumbai high court and no one has control over this man who robes Rs. 60 from each customer to comes to get their affidavit notorised, thus making lots of money by harassing citizens.
