Paid Rs.500 as bribe.

The passport office accepts any bank statement as address proof but the police verifying officer demands only for a nationalized bank as address proof.
He demanded Rs. 1000 and went on to say if you do not pay you're educated people and you can understand what consequences you can have in a very diplomatic manner.
In such circumstances how can we be without paying???

Feeling ashamed had to pay the bribe, but somewhere was afraid that I wouldn't get my police verification for the passport if I do not pay :(
