Passport Office in New Delhi had a lady sitting who asked for a 1500 INR bribe to get the case forward, justifying that it was a matter of mutual understanding. If I would give it, my case shall be forwarded for passport verification, else she would not care and the my file would by lying for another year or so without getting forward for verification. I had to sit for some 2 hours before she talked to me. This was because she was waiting for the other office staff to leave, before she could talk to me for all this.
