I applied for a re-issue of my passport as I would be travelling soon. I had to get the application verified in 2 police station as my current residency was less than 2 years. After repeated visits to the 2 police station, the story went like this!
Mahadevpura:
The cop who was responsible for the verification straight away claimed that he could reject the application stating that the applicant is not living in the mentioned address. I told him that yes sir you can do that and asked what I need to do. He said try to avoid this happening and gestured for some money. Once the money handed (150) over, everything went smoothly.

This cop is really smooth. He didnt say anything, just said...I need to pay money for the "fast process" I need to ********** "fast cash" Then the bribe was handed over (150)
I generally avoid giving bribe as I am a son of a very honest State Govt official but I was under great pressure from my company to travel abroad.
The sad part is even after I bribed it was delayed and I got my passport very late (app. after 50 days) I couldn't travel abroad and the project was lost and Myself and my company has to suffer the loss
