I wanted to get my marriage registered. So for that I went to Domlur BDA complex. And that time i was told i need to have a govt address proof. This can be BSNL bill, Nationalised banks statement, Or any govt utility bill like water, Gas etc. I found gas connection as one applicable to me as I had Bharat gas connection which is govt utility only. When next time I went with the same. I was asked to come back later as office lunch is at 1:30 and I came at 1 :). Which i followed and went back again at around 3. Then I was asked to fill forms. I filled the form and went to the marriage registrar she told gas is not a utility and I need a proper address proof. When I argued with her that last time u told its a utility then why not this time on this she told me to go out with some one I guess was an agent. Then agent told me its money that she wants. and Then he quoted me 4000 rs. I some how said no but then there was no option as I can not register my marriage anywhere else. I wanted to travel with my wife for which marriage certificate was must. So I bargained and it came down to 3000. I must tell you After that every thing was smooth. They filled up my form. They made our certificate even they pasted our photos. The same guy got it signed from her. Now the address proof was same but it worked without any hurdle.
