Permission to transfer & possession of plot
- Urban Development Authorities
- Conversion of Property to Freehold
- Paid INR 2,300
********** Sonipat office first of all does not even have signs depicting roles of individuals working in the office. Instead of serving people whose tax rupees pay for their salaries, even estate officer's attitude makes you feel that they are doing you a favor. Every application for transfer means they receive bribes and only then permission to transfer is granted. Simple things such as power of attorney rules; that they don't accept POAs from other states are not mentioned and takes forever to get this information. Also for possession of plots, I paid bribe to a peon (by the way they still have peons :) as if Brits almost never left Sonipat. Peon pays others such as Junior Engineer and other clerks involved including up to estate officers.
