I paid $1,500 US dollars for a title deed to an apartment that my father owned. My father bought the apartment for Rs.77,000 25 years ago. The officer told us that it would cost us 1.5 lakhs to get the title deed in 3 days. We sat in his office for 8 hours each for the three days and gave him numerous documents to get the title deed. He was arrogant and rude. At the end he said that the amount given may not be enough.
