Police need Rs1000 to do passport verification

Police asked Rs1000 to clear police verification for passport. Though its supposed to be 45days process, ultimately even with bribe it came after 8months. Another passport was done in 'Tatkal' couple of year back from the same housaehold and was not paid anything. Police seemed to have detailed record of that and they were shameless to say that we didn't make anything the previous time and so they need that this time.
