Mr. Tarun Sarkar, who claimed to be from special branch, visits DUMDUM police station in Kolkata everyday 6-8 p.m for passport verification. He called me to visit him in the police station with papers for my passport verification. I presented all the necessary papers, he was satisfied. But then he told me that there are "certain expenses" which he cannot talk to me about and demanded INR 500 to complete the procedure. He strongly demanded the money and said that if I give it to him the process will be done soon, but if I do not, he cannot say anything. He is taking money from everyone who comes for this verification, sitting inside DUMDUM police station.
