I do not remember the name of that police constable. He was from Alipore police station in KOlkata. He had come to my house in Alipore, Kolkata for the purpose of passport verification. After talking nicely for few minutes he asked my father for some money for "Chai - Paani". My father got upset and politely refused him. Immediately, his behavior turned rude and he said if you want your passport you need to bring affidavit from court that you live here. All of us were stunned and he got up to leave. We asked him what is the procedure for it then he said give me 500 right now, I will attest your passport otherwise you need to bring affidavit to police station and pay even more.
We were helpless but my father still went to court and got the affidavit but still he would not give the passport without money. We were really troubled and my father had to give him 300 finally for my passport.
