I parked my 2 wheeler in front of 'Acer Gadget show room' in Marathahalli(opposite service road of Innovative Multiplex). I was unaware that that is a no parking area. After an hour, my bike was not there and when i enquired the nearby people they said trafic police has taken the vehicle. I walked down to the place where my vehicle was kept.(its near by Marathahalli bridge) My 2 wheeler is chained and locked with some other vehicles. When i entered the area 2 people came near me and asked what u r doing here. I said my vehicle is here. They said, Its parked in wrong parkig area and I has to pay rs.300 to get my bike. I am shocked and said Why rs.300, the fine is rs.100 na? They said for towing rs.200 extra. I dont have that much money and said I have only 100 take it and give my bike. The 2 boys not accepted and asked me to talk to the officer. The officer shown some receipts saying that I has to pay rs.300 (200 for towing+100 for fine). I said, I have only 100. He Replied, the bike will be here till 8.30pm, you get Rs300 and then get the bike Or collect it tomorrow from the Airport office. He said and went to catch other bikes. The 2 boys approached me and said u get ur bike by paying Rs200. Then i paid Rs.200 and got my bike but didnt get receipt. Though i saved Rs.100 but feeling guilty bcoz Rs200 went to officer and the boys not to the govt. Shame on myself.
