Probation to Permanent
I learnt this is a fairly normal practice but in order to get a permanent job at HAL (Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd) and to convert your probation job into a permanent one, you need to pay a bribe that gets distributed amongst all seniors responsible to approve your job. This seems fairly common and widely accepted process. If i had not paid the bribe, my job would not have become permanant and then i would have had to look for another job.
