I completed my PhD during 2007. I got senior research fellowship from Indian council of medical research for my PhD research. But my supervisor squeezed me to pay about 25000 rupees form the fellowship to allow me to submit my PhD thesis. Though i had published about 5 research papers, i couldn`t submit my thesis without giving money to him. My seniors and juniors also suffered the same. Not only my supervisor but also other professors in the department gets money from their students.
