Railway Police at Tambaram Sanitorium Chennai

This incident happened in 2001 when i was in my first job at Tambaram Sanitorium,Chennai.
The next station was Tambaram after it. Me and my friend used to goto Tambaram station via Sanitorium stn via local train.
When we get down at Tambaram Station we had two options to get out of the station into the city.
1) Take the bridge above all the way .Will take more time and effort
2) Cross the 3 railyway lines ..and there will be a open door there in the wall...just pass thru it...saving hassel and time.
So we used to take option 2. (Though I later found out that crossing the rly lines openly is an offence)
We croosed the rly line and passed thru opened door..To our surprise we realised that there is a Rly police man sitting there on a chair just behind the door...expecting ppl to pass thru this door.He caught us the moment he saw us. He did open the door for this purpose only.
he took us to the Raily police station.There there were few other guys as well brought.
My first time in a police station so i was scared.Anyways they gave us 2 options either pay 150 each and go else get ready to appear before court-on-wheels.
As expected me and my friend fell thru it and paid the money to get lost from there.
But then there was this guy who stood his groud of not paying the money and was agreed to goto court.
He did argue a lot with the guys.
Not sure what happened to him as we were out of it by then.
